Over the last eight seasons, One Tree Hill has had its fair share of drama, heartbreak, death and crazy plotlines (the dog ate Dan’s new heart!). As we prepare to say goodbye to the long-running CW series, TVGuide.com caught up with the cast as they shared with us their favorite episodes.
Austin Nichols (Julian Baker)
Favorite Episode: ”Darkness on the Edge of Town” ( Season 8 )“It was really challenging to watch your [on-screen] fiancé almost die in front of you. That was hard and satisfying in the end, but it’s scary to go to those places. Plus: It was action-packed, and I’m a guy!”

One Tree Hill’s final season is almost upon us. Here is the sypnosis for Episode 1 titled “Know This, We’ve Noticed”. WARNING CONTAIN SPOILERS
A few years ago, during a meeting of some government and public relations officials about how to improve Israel’s image in the United States, one of the participants wistfully said, “If we could just fly every American to Israel for a week to experience it themselves, then we would no longer have an image problem.”
The group that I’m with [which included American TV actors Mary Lynn Rajskub from 24; Greg Grunberg of Heroes, Alias and Felicity; Shaun Sipos of Melrose Place; Justin Chatwin of Shameless, Weeds and Lost; and Austin Nichols of One Tree Hill] took a bike ride through the Old City. It was just breathtaking.

Austin is currently visiting Israel with America’s Voices.
America’s Voices in Israel is a pioneering program begun ten years ago to bolster Israel’s image in the United States by bringing traditional media and radio personalities to broadcast live from Israel. It was re-organized in late 2010 under the leadership of Irwin Katsof and re-launched with a new, bolder approach. America’s Voices now engages both traditional and “new media” mavens, high profile sports personalities and entertainers, key opinion molders, moderate Muslim leaders, diplomats, and other influential personalities whose first-hand experiences in Israel can provide an antidote to the distortions and misrepresentations about the Jewish state that are increasingly promulgated by those who seek to delegitimize and demonize Israel.
Thanks to America’s Voices twitter page (@amvoicesnisrael) we have been able to add some photos of Austin out in Israel to our Gallery:
