- One Tree Hill was created by Mark Schwahn and began airing in 2003. The teen/young adult drama is set in fictional town, Tree Hill North Carolina. The show is filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.The original main characters included Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), Haley James (Bethany Joy Galeotti), Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton) and Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush).One Tree his shows the relationship between half brothers Lucas and Nathan, who start out enemies but progress to become good friends after Lucas joins the school basketball team which Nathan is the star of Lucas.The first four season follow the teens through high school, at the end of this time Haley and Nathan are married with a son, Lucas is seeing Peyton and Brooke is single.Season five jumped four years and started with Nathan playing in the NBA, Haley as a school teacher, Peyton as an assistant in the music industry, Lucas as a writer and Brooke as a successful fashion designer.Austin was introduced to the show in season 6 as Peyton’s ex boyfriend.

- Julian Baker is a movie producer who was previously in love with Peyton. They fell in love during the four year gap between season 5 and 6 when Peyton was living in LA as an assistant in the music industry. The pair broke up because Peyton was still in love with Lucas.In Season 6, Julian arrives in Tree Hill after reading Lucas’ book which Peyton obsessed over during their relationship, he wants to make it into a movie. Lucas agreed to let Julian make the movie, unaware of his history with Peyton. During the course of Season 6, Julian had a connection with Brooke and the two started dating after his movie fell through. Season 7 saw some tough times for Brooke and Julian, especially after he started working on a project with actress, Alex Dupre. Brooke became insecure after she found out she couldn’t have children and the two took a break from each other. Later in the season the two got back together and in the finale of Season 7, Julian proposed to Brooke after the premiere of his new movie at Sundance. In Season 8, Brooke and Julian are newly engaged. During the course of the season, Julian saves Brooke and Jamie from drowning and the two get married two episodes later. During the season, Brooke and Julian find they are unable to conceive and try to adopt a baby which later falls through. At the end of the season we find that Brooke is pregnant and the last episode shows them welcoming twin boys to their family, named Davis and Jude. Season 9 is currently being filmed and will be aired in January 2012.
